I received my DVD's - thank you! You also ask if I would get back with you as to my feelings about the DVD's upon viewing them. Well, I've watched the Predator Trapping Problems & Solutions but not the Advanced yet.

Let me qualify myself as saying I'm 61 and trapped strictly fox from 1970 thru 1987, though I have trapped since I was eight years old. Just in the past couple of years have I gone back to solely trapping canines and have found it's like they say about riding a bicycle, once learned, you never forget.:-))

Here is my opinion of the first DVD.-
Out of all the canine trapping videos and dvds, Slim is the only one who doesn't give the viewer the old "this is HOW to do it" perspective. Slim tries to help the viewer understand WHY something does or happens! This is exactly the manner (thought process) I myself use when helping inexperienced folks. Anybody can tell or show another HOW to do something but few can explain WHY!!! As an example, near the start of the dvd, Slim explains the WHY of locations. He continues to do this throughout the entire dvd if the viewer is listening and watching. It's part of Slim's thought process that many trapping today don't understand or can't do (think deep enough) in this cookie-cutting, show me, do it for me age of the internet!

Also, I thought the video work was better then any of the other videos and dvds I have. The person(s) gave thought to shading and sunlight, as well as contrast making the dvd very easily watched and the views understood! More so then any of my other videos the quality was such that I figured I could and was seeing what Slim was seeing and wanted me to see. One example would be his cut-bank dirt hole set construction. Slim's example is far and away better explained and shown then the one Gary Jepson shows in his video.

So in ending, Slim's dvd is a joy to watch and also a personal joy to know that somebody else understands and uses a thought process to understand the WHY and it's importance!
